been in dayton awhile now, heading back

chillin bakc in dayton. anitas here. we've been in the basement last couple days. havent been writin much. got lotsa ideas. workin on ideas for a new album. prob heading back today. to columbus. bought some stuff from ikea. anita wants to clean the apartment... i bet it'll be cold as shit there. we'll see. lowe's is where my dad said to buy some heating stuff from. she's on her period, no sex for a week. went to cleveland for new years, was interestin. hung with shaheen and chris. met some crazy ass indian chich in her 30s callin me too indian heh. thats crazy shit heh. im too indian? yeah im not sure how to deal with that hah, only that perhaps i need some work on my indian side ;p. anita got jealous of me and the girl, we talked about it. whilst here i had her cry out anything she had still tied up inside. she did and she felt better. we checked out cincy and what a bleak desolate place. it borders kentucky which's weird, cross the bridge and you cross the border. we've got songs picked out for the demo and ideas laid out for new tracks in the future. anita has no job but bills to pay, her phone for one, and bills on her bank statement for another. her phones lost which makes it worse. she has no insurance but medical problems so she wants to try and get on her mother's insurance. we're gonna try and go on the east coast trip in twelve days. seven cities seven days. we'll see if she has the money. she's got two pay checks waiting at kroger. chris's been invited to live with us, i figured a bit of spendin cash wouldnt hurt, and the kids been around us lately and with anita around i figured we could use the company heh. so yeah. i dunno though. we'll see. im undecided. anita got info from a film guy in cleveland. there's meant to be a store there with clothse i'd like. its been texted to me on the cell. the drives not all that long. there's alcohol in the car. we're meant to be off it for three months hah. we'll see how that goes heh. there's a dead rat in the kitchen in columbus. kinda nasty. anita thinks she can clean it up. i want to do a proper more ambitious and drawn out kindof deal with our music, something that'll be more ambitious, slower to do, slower to write, longer time, starting out with concepts that touch on things we feel are of great power within our own lives. and the like. build those up in the ways we feel are cool and important, and release them as an album a real artistic effort, the inspiration is dustin hoffman and his artistic approach to film, he mentioned how everyone in his generation viewed themselves as artists and to make money would've been seen as selling out and the like, that he was more or less content before they made it. but yeah, thats what im aiming for with us, to be content before we make it, doing all the things musically that we really feel like we need to be doing. there's also this song by this guy in a band, an 80s band that now has reformed, squeeze, the ... main songwriter who happens to not sing for the band although has a good singing voice, branched out and did his own solo record and it sounds good, at least the song he performed. also, craig ferguson continues to do well, he had a show with the guy fro mtalk soup which went well, and the day after he got married was a good show, as well as the show folowing. good to see 'em in high spirits hah. reminds me of the white house correspondant show. anita was singing cottonmouth today in bed, and she's been really positive about my older and newer work. its helping me look through the past with mdoern eyes. i told her that she shouldnt feel guilty about her friend and that if she wanted to she could but she should remember why she does, because she's being stupid, and the same really applies to me. it's good to have a sounding board for things like that and we're really helping each other work through our pains together. but yeah things are good, lots gone on that hasnt been written on, but that's alright, i figure some needs to be saved up for the songs anyhow. and as it happens, we'd already had a whole host of songs in the works for a second album to follow up the demo we recorded last month. that demo we're planning on making copies and sitrubuting in columbus to book gigs with. so things are good, also thinking of buying some pitch shifter pedals for the effect.
